Dear Dr. Stork:

\J	First I want to thank-you for your consideration of participation in the \F1The Future
of Cars--Energy, Environment and Economics\F0 segment of the annual meeting of the
AAAS to be held January 27-31, 1975 in New York.
The symposium is scheduled for January 27-28, 1975 in the Regency Ballroom
of the Americana Hotel.
There will be a morning and an afternoon session on each day; each session
consisting of four speakers, a panel discussion and questions from the floor.
The proposed timing is one half hour for each speaker and one hour for
panel discussion and open questioning.

Dr. Ernest S. Starkman, Vice President of Environmental Activities
of General Motors Technical Division, will be one of the participants in
the regulatory issues session. I am hopeful you will decide to participate in this session
which will be on Tuesday morning, January 28, 1975.

I enclose a copy of the draft announcement of the symposium
and shall send along further information as it becomes available.\.

							Sincerely yours,
